I really wanted to like this book. I had heard all about it, there were awards all over the place and Alice Munro is a great writer, however, I found this collection of stories to be boring. I couldn't get into them at all, I didn't like the characters, I didn't like the flow of the writing. I only found this book to be useful in offering a hand at sleep while reading in bed. I kept thinking the next story was going to be better somehow or more interesting, but I was disappointed and wondering 'wtf did I just read' after every short. I really don't have more to say about this book. On to the next!
