Four stars!
This is the second book in the 5th wave trilogy, and we all are now patiently awaiting Yancey's release of the third and final book this coming May.
This time, the characters from the first book are surviving in the post-apocalyptic world that The Others have created, and they are much more knowledgeable about what's going on. No spoilers here if you haven't read the first book - if you have, you'll know what I'm talking about.
I like that this book wasn't primarily narrated by Cassie like the first one was. There's also a few other characters who are introduced, and we get their perspective as well. It seems this story was filled with the psychological effects that a post apocalyptic and dying world can have on a human. The characters seem to live minute to minute, never knowing if this will be their last.
Overall, I enjoyed the setting of the second book, and it was an extremely easy read.
